Is it possible to grow the stella cherry tree in espalier form? I was told when I purchased it from a garden centre that it was an ideal specimen for this method, but other experts say that they have never seen the stella as an espalier.
Cherries in general wouldnt be well suited to espalier (they grow too fast usually), with proper pruning and support I cant see why one variety would be a worse subject than the other excepting differential growth habits.
