British Columbia: Status of 2020 plant sale at VanDusen Botanical Garden

A number of public events have been cancelled amidst the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. The Sakura Days Japan Fair at VanDusen Botanical Garden has been cancelled. The Garden's annual plant sale is scheduled for later in the month of April and appears to be still on at the moment. Please post any news of this event to this thread.

It looks increasing unlikely this year's event will take place, at least as scheduled: BC Bans Large Public Gatherings, Urges No International Travel | The Tyee.

 

The Hardy Palm Society (which holds its meetings at Van Dusen) received a notice today with the following:
"We are pleased to be able to offer a flexible refund/rescheduling policy to our rental clients, and will be waiving all fees to do so for all events, meetings and shows up to June 30th, 2020."

UPDATE: It is with considerable sadness but with personal health and safety in mind that the Plant Sale Committee is confirming the VBGA VanDusen Plant Sale is cancelled for 2020.
