Kiwi fruit seed taken fresh from grocery store fruit. Placed between paper towel, dampened and refrigerated in a plastic baggie. Remove after a couple of weeks, peek and check for enlarging seed, keep only slightly damp. Pull from the fridge and place in top of fridge for a week, again check not too wet. Repeat until sprouting seeds are seen. Plant into small pots and you're off. This worked for me.
