    Dear friends,
It was kept in water for 14 days.Today I got it and as you will see from the pics, the roots are all ready rotten.
Shall I cut them off? Keep them out of water? and when do I have to plant, in which kind of soil ?

    Thanks in advance

I'm not too educated on Stapeliads but I do know they are very prone to root rot.

Cut off the roots and any stem that has rot and let the cut part callous over before you put it in soil (usually in a couple days.) It helps to have warmth underneath the pot to promote root growth. They need well drained soil that doesn't hold too much water. Only water them when the soil is dry, and only enough to moisten the soil.

    Good luck!

Dear Bambi and also other friends,

After the abv story of my stapelia, I have cutted the rotten roots and kept a few days to get dry and then put it into the soil. During this period it had also opened the flower.

Since then did not give any water.

But the last 2-3 days, as you will see from the picture, one of the "arms" is dying from the top part.Getting yellowish.

Can I cut away this top part and try to cure, or will it be worse?

Second question, pls, the flower, after 4 days, closed up. Does that mean that this flower bag has finished it's life circle? Or possible to re flower from the same point.
    Thank you in advance
    Brgds
