Stalled Page Loads

I've noticed in the recent months that pages from this site have a tendency to stall upon loading which requires a refresh to get an operation to complete. A page is either not loaded at all or only partially loaded. This is happening using the latest release of Firefox at the time of each event. What is causing this? Was there a change in the forum software?

 

The server is dying. We suspect a hard disk failure. It's been going on for months, but the process to move the site has been proceeding at a snail's pace.

 

I didn't make the connection between this and the upcoming shutdown. Mystery solved. Thanks.

 

Seems to be resolved now (for me).

 

So far so good. I'll report back if I encounter a problem.
