While cleaning out my garage I found a beautiful piece of cork bark I bought about 20 years ago with the idea of growing a staghorn fern. I never used it then, but the combo would look great in my newly renovated bathroom. Where could I purchase locally or mail order a staghorn fern, how do I mount it on the cork and what does it need to keep it happy?

There are a number of them at GardenWorks at Mandeville in Burnaby.

Thanks for the reply. They didn't have any when I checked, but luckily I found a nice one at Art Knapp's downtown. I also found a good video online showing how to mount it, but I think I'll need to reinforce my cork bark with a sturdy piece of wood first, even if I plan to divide mine before it becomes the size of a St. Bernard. I hope they grow slowly; I had no idea they could get quite so big!!
