    could anyone help identify this tree growing in Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, Kandy, Sri Lanka, please?

    Could be something from Combretaceae. They all have winged seeds.

    The seedpod looks very similar to Tetrapleura tetraptera (Leguminosae), which is native to W. Africa.
