Spruce Tree

    Need to identify a large spruce tree. Can some one give me some tips or refer me to a good web site for that will help me accomplish this?

    Yep, should be quite easy from a photo.

    Brief guide to spruces likely to be found commonly in your area:
    Cones over 10cm long, mid brown; foliage green: Norway Spruce
    Cones 6-10cm long, pale yellow; foliage bluish, with very sharp needles: Blue Spruce
    Cones 3-6cm long, pale brown, soft; foliage grey-green, with blunter needles: White Spruce
    Cones 2-4cm long, dark brown, hard; foliage grey-green, with blunter needles: Black Spruce
