Japanese maples are a fairly new garden/hobby for me. I am trying to learn as much as I can about these wonderful trees. These trees were all planted in the last two years. I have been very busy.

Likely Cercis canadensis 'Covey'. Maybe the egret knows.

The tree's common name is a weeping red bud. Beautiful tree for all seasons. This is my first year having it. I think the structure will look awesome in the winter. I believe it is also a vigorous grower once it is established. The egret is also in his first year, his job is protect the fish.
