Yesterday I noticed that the grape vines are dripping sap, the buds on the fruit trees seem to grow as I watch them and that the humming birds have returned. What a lovely time of the year.
    Just had to share.

Yes, I took a long walk through the gardens here at UBCBG after work yesterday. It was glorious - the birds certainly seemed to be declaring the arrival of spring throughout the garden. Many things are blooming now, but the large magnolias with their huge showy blossoms steal the show right now.

It's nice inside too. The fragrance from the jasmine and citrus blooms is just wonderful.

Its the grey season here. Grumble grumble. City is full of dust. Driveway's all mud and guck. Can't even get the motorcycle out for a putt.

Can hardly wait for the Yukon's three days of spring. One day there's a kind of a green blush on everything, and three days later shazam! the Aspens are leafed out and its really spring.

Ah well. Just another day in paradise.

Absolutely!! Tiny new growth everywhere in my garden. My pea seeds have sprouted already, and my lettuce is showing, and the radish is 1/2" tall!! Beautiful British Columbia!!
