Amen to that.
Another pic, this time from a couple of weeks ago, 'Wou nishiki' and flowers:
What Derek said... ;°)
Wonderful ! A much appreciated comeback.
I enjoyed an evening in the garden after the rain just listening to the birds while taking some pictures of Osakasuki, Summer gold, Shirazz, Watnong, Ruysen, Oregon sunset, Autumn moon, Filigree and Aconitifolium.
Lovely photos after some very welcome rain M.
Not sure where this is headed in terms of Spring Colo(u)r as I only picked up last fall but am enjoying the slow mutations now.

I’m so blown away by the garden I walked out into today that i can’t type properly so not gona list cultivars. Of course if anyone has any questions I’ll be sure to answer them, but for now... I just want to take pictures of them. I hope nobody objects.
Lovely R and some very ferocious squirrel chasers. Lol.
Just got back from a long walk and to see such wonderful maples from you, R @dicky5ash , and N @D97x7 has been so very enjoyable. I like coming home to this..
Thanks Derek. They’ve made my morning :-)
Good morning everyone, before the rain starts I took these a few minutes ago.
Orangeola, Iigima Sunago, Ruby Star, Tsuma beni, Fujinami nishiki and Red dissectum.
Now hopefully some rain...
I would like to introduce you to my new babies ordered from Hippo on Tuesday. Loz wasn’t sure whether she could get them to me this week as she was celebrating her birthday, however, once I started singing to her she quickly promised to make it happen. Turns out I’m tone deaf lol :-)
They turned up around 0930 and since then I’ve been beavering away cleaning and sanitising 3ltr pots, making up my preferred soil mix and then getting them settled in to their new home for the next year or two. Mostly slip potted, but one needed a bit of root untangling, so that was done with lots of care and patience. Just waiting for some new tags to arrive and we are all but done :-)
I’m a happy boy!
Group shot, followed by 2 pics of each. One to show the whole plant and then a close up of the leaf.
I would like to give a shout out to Hippo. Although I’ve always thought they were slightly over priced for the size of the plant you get, but what I have realised is that each one I received today was in immaculate condition. The packaging is second to none and the plants themselves look very healthy.
Thanks Hippo :-)
I've always had very good quality and healthy plants from them. Definitely not over priced, very good value for money, quality is worth paying for.
Is that Phoenix?
Hino tori nishiki
Couldn't agree more M.
Ahhh ok thanks, Spring colours look very similar to my Phoenix
Both discovered by Dick van der Maat apparently.
I seem to be having trouble restraining myself much like "Geisha Gone Wild'
Very nice !
