I am wondering if it is too late to spray roses with dormant oil in the Vancouver area (BC). One of the roses is already starting to leaf out.

    Thanks,

Sorry that no one replied, I'm just getting a chance to review posts from late January now.

As you suspected, though, once the leaves are out, it's too late for dormant oil.

May I ask what dormant oil is? Or, as I imagine it is self explanatory, how it works and why one would wish to use it?
