Hi Just wondering if anyone has information of what the dark spots on these lilac leaves might be. The information I have is. The lilac is on one of the Gulf Islands off Vancouver Islan. The spots only show up when you shine light on them. The spots are not on the surface of the leaves. There doesn't seem to be anything els odd about the lilac.
I have an error message clicking on your photos to view them bigger. QUESTION - other than spots you see - are they any other symptoms ? Did this shrub perform normally last year 2019? Have your power washed or had your gutters / roof cleaned recently ? (Chemical overspray even if it says it’s “safe”)
As far as I Know the tree was fine and looked normal. I do know that there was not any chemicals prayed and that the gutters were not cleaned or close to the lilac.
