While in Greece I leaned down to examine a low growing vine. Suddenly a squirt of liquid hit me in the chest. I burshed the plant again and another squirt of liquid shot out like a squirt gun. The fruit looked like 4 cm long watermelons The range of the liquid was nearly a meter and was clear. When the stem was disturbed, it broke from the fruit and out shot the liquid. Locals claimed the liquid was poison. Any ideas what this plant was? send a response to doyost@aol.com
