I have three new goldflame spireas, one planted directly in garden soil, two in containers (potting soil, manure.) They were all a brilliant chartreuse, then the two in pots turned rosy-pinkish on the leaf tips overnight. Same with a chartreuse barberry, also in a pot. Otherwise healthy looking. Does this have to do with soil type?
