    Hello,

My lawn is covered with spikelets. Just wondering why I've got so many and other lawns on my street seem to have none. Does it have to do with the temperature or the fact that my lawn was aerated recently?

Often a term for grass flowers . . . in which case all it means is that you haven't mowed the lawn as recently, or as tightly, as others have done.
