Spiked fruit found on vine in woods.

    This vine had some weird looking fruit it has spikes and grows on a vine. Live in Ontario so I anyone knows what this is please let me know.

    Looks like Wild Cucumber, Echinocystis lobata.

    Other than the fruit looking a little bit slumpy at one end (which is only shown in a small minority of the photos of the fruit online), it's a near-certainty. The only outlying possibility is something closely-related that was introduced from cultivation and happens to have escaped, but is not yet widely/significantly reported for the province.
