    Hi all,

Recently I hiked Aravipa Canyon, north-east of Tucson, AZ. Found some plants I didn't know:

Pictures 1 & 2 are of the same plant. It was about 4-5 feet high, found near water.

3rd picture is some kind of Euphorbiaceae.

4th picture some kind of Asteraceae, low-growing, sprawling plant.

Last set of pictures are of a plant found near water. It looked like an annual, and was resinous-sticky. Maybe a Scrophulariaceae?

    Thanks!

#4 looks like Heterotheca villosa or Heterotheca zionensis. For me, they look the same.

#5/6 could be some penstemon. For some species they indicate leaves in whorls of three.

    Good call on desert cotton.

The plant in the 3rd picture is a Stillingia species.

I believe the last plant is Stemodia durantifolia.
