Sonchus Asper or oleraceus

    I made the unusual mistake of not photographing the entire plant. From these 3 photographs I have selected sp. oleraceus. Without photographs of the entire plant it is difficult for me to make a positive ID.

    Not easy with these two without seeing their achenes. As for other, very ambiguous, features, I would lean toward C. asper (long rays, rounded auricles, more prickly leaves).
