something wrong with my gardenia???

    I found this little brown dot on the stem of my blooming gardenia? are those some kind of pests?? How can I get rid of it?? TIA.

    Thanks Junglekeeper! This pot of Gardenia is heavily infested so I cut them all out and scrape off the ones that left off on the main stem to see how it goes... I also sprayed diluted soapy water to try to control it...hope its not too late and hopefully they will grow back nice...

    Be aware that soap sprays are ineffective against the adults, the ones you can see and scrape off. The plant will be re-infested in time if there are any of them left. Still, the sprays will give you some control over them.
