    Locations of Somei Yoshinos will be summarized here. (Prunus x yedoensis 'Somei-yoshino')

    Marpole: 68th west of Ash for 1/2 block - please see pictures from Marpole, might be candidate for next year
    Please see Joseph Lin's correction on the type of the cherries.

    Hudson and 71st, 1 tree (?), see photo.

    Riley Park: There is only 1 'Somei-yoshino' at Southern parking area (close to 33rd Ave)in Q-E Park, see pictures in Riley Park .
    That is the one which Anne Eng photographed on April 16, posted on April 17.
    Others are all 'Akebono'.

    Kensington-Cedar Cottage: Brewer's Park, Victoria & 26th; also
    Fleming at 22nd, off Knight, see photos - this is a maybe, as no blossom photo was posted
    16th and Victoria, see photos
    24th & Windsor, in Glen Park, one nice old tree, see photos

    Kerrisdale: Marine Crescent near 50th

    Killarney: Raleigh, betw 47th and 48th, two trees

    Kitsilano: Kits beach, east side of park north of the restaurant; also
    Vancouver Museum, a few locations, see photos
    Burrard south of Cornwall, at the Armory, see photos

    Oakridge: Cambie, from 41st to 49th; also
    Tisdall Park, north side Tisdall and 48th, see photos

    South Cambie: Douglas Park, Willow at 20th, several trees, a 2008 and 2009 Festival Favourite
    South Cambie: Ash, south of 37th, can't remember or tell if it's more than one tree

    Sunset: Prince Edward and Woodstock, one big old tree; also
    59th, Fraser to Prince Albert, not confirmed but right now I think they're Somei-yoshino, see photos
    In Memorial Park, E 41 and Windsor -please see pictures in Sunset

    UBC: 2000 block of Lower Mall; also
    Chan Centre, see photos

    West End/Stanley Park: Lost Lagoon, east side near daycare; also
    Pendrell, west of Gilford, see photos
    Some of the trees near the West End edge of the park, near Nelson, are 'Somei-yoshino'.
    Trees to the left of the overpass to the Rose Garden, as you walk towards the Rose Garden, see photos.

    Renfrew-Collingwood, lovely allée at the Windermere Secondary School on Lillooet at 27th, see photos.

    Not a timely posting. More locations:

    Burnaby: Sperling, between between Adair and Jordan, with 'Umineko', see photos.
    Patterson at Sardis, three trees on the west side of Patterson, see photos.
    Burnaby Mountain Park, near Horizons Restaurant. This is on the map, but hasn't been reported on the forums.

    Downtown: Main Street, west side, north of Terminal, in a garden area belonging to a condo complex, see photos.

    Grandview-Woodland: 1st and Woodlands, one nice tree. Photos

    Mount Pleasant: 7th and St. Catherines, photos. And 7th and Guelph, Mount Pleasant Elementary School, one tree photo.

    Richmond: One is on the Westminster Hwy in front of the Bay, the other two are on the dividing island of Minoru Blvd, in front of west gate of Richmond Center. Both are very close to the intersection of Westminster hwy and Minoru Blvd. See photos. Also in Minoru Park by the little path leading towards Minoru Chapel, see photos. And on Williams, Williams Street at the South Arm Community Center, photos.

    South Cambie: many on the Cambie median between 37th and 47th. No photos posted, but they are listed on an inventory of the median trees.

    Strathcona: Oppenheimer Park, photos.
