Re: Somei Yoshino Riley Park: There is only 1 'Somei-yoshino' at Southern parking area (close to 33rd Ave)in Q-E Park, see pictures in Riley Park . That is the one which Anne Eng photographed on April 16, posted on April 17. Others are all 'Akebono'.

Re: Somei Yoshino Not a timely posting. More locations: Burnaby: Sperling, between between Adair and Jordan, with 'Umineko', see photos. Patterson at Sardis, three trees on the west side of Patterson, see photos. Burnaby Mountain Park, near Horizons Restaurant. This is on the map, but hasn't been reported on the forums. Downtown: Main Street, west side, north of Terminal, in a garden area belonging to a condo complex, see photos. Grandview-Woodland: 1st and Woodlands, one nice tree. Photos Mount Pleasant: 7th and St. Catherines, photos. And 7th and Guelph, Mount Pleasant Elementary School, one tree photo. Richmond: One is on the Westminster Hwy in front of the Bay, the other two are on the dividing island of Minoru Blvd, in front of west gate of Richmond Center. Both are very close to the intersection of Westminster hwy and Minoru Blvd. See photos. Also in Minoru Park by the little path leading towards Minoru Chapel, see photos. And on Williams, Williams Street at the South Arm Community Center, photos. South Cambie: many on the Cambie median between 37th and 47th.
