This is a picture of a fungus growing in my mulch. Not sure you can see it. It is growing on the mulch...just appeared after a lot of rain. It is in a shady area, nothing is in the sun. In case you can't see it, it is cream colored, kind of a cup shape but the edges roll out in a fan shape, a little ruffly, not a lot. The little ones look curled up and then they seems to unroll and get a lot bigger and flatter. Any ideas? I thought it was some kind of birds nest one, but there are no egg things in the middle.
I looked up the big pictures of what you mentioned. It is kind of like that, but not. My stuff looks almost waxy, although the ones that I scooped up and left on the sidewalk are now looking white and powdery. It is everywhere in the shade. I am going to try to take a picture tomorrow and not copy one from another site.
