    Hello,

I'm submitting this photo for a school art competition and I am having trouble IDing this. I took it in the SF Botanical garden in June 2013. Any help IDing this is sincerely appreciated. Please enjoy this beautiful specimen.

Found it: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Callistemon_citrinus_flower.jpg Callistemon citrinus native to SE Australia

Thank you for making that correction. As I'm a novice, could you please tell me how you made the distinction between the two? Here is another shot of it.

The leaves are much smaller in relation to stamens than in Callistemons. But the important difference is in the capsules, thin-walled with persistent sepals and falling early in Kunzea, thick-walled with smooth rims and persisting for years with increasing woodiness in Callistemon.

I noticed the different in leaf size but not the rest of the points that you mentioned. Thank you for the identification and the education.
