Some of this, Soleirolia soleirolii, or Baby's Tears, is growing where I stuck a bit in a year ago, not expecting it to survive last winter, as an experiment. I noticed the other day that it is taking off -- I see this little plant in nurseries everywhere here on Vancouver Island but have ignored it as a "florist's plant" or some other discriminatory attitude of mine, but it certainly seems to form a dense mat of green tiny leaves. To those who might know, how does it compare with Corsican Mint as a tiny-leaved green groundcover? Does it die back in winter, which Corsican Mint does not do, fortunately? What is its native habitat?
