These are some shots from early August, 2009, in west LA. I was taking a walk and was struck by these little pink panicles (or are they merely racemes?). The orange interior of the flutes caught the sunlight and appeared to glow, like little orange lights shining out from between the pink petals. Any idea what they might be? Thanks!
