I'm in Cambodia and I could use an identification of this flowering bush. The flowers are small with 4 diagonally shaped "salmon" pink petals that form large bunches. The leaves are just a simple nice color of green. Any assistance would be grateful.
It's Ixora, but I don't know the species. There's one called Ixora pavetta - here's a photo taken in Bangladesh that seems to have pointed petals somewhat like yours. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ixora_at_Dhaka,_Bangladesh.JPG I see that the flowers have four petals, except that there's at least one flower in your photo with five petals. Maybe that's good luck :)
Thank you for your quick and helpful reply. A quick google search of Ixora and Cambodia resulted in the scientific name of Ixora coccinea, a picture of the same flower, and the correct Khmer name for the plant.
It looks like the compact cultivar known as Ixora 'Sunkist', probably derived from I. coccinea. It's been planted in every tropical Asian city for the last 30-50 years.
