Identification: Small maroon mushroom

    This is the only view I have of this small maroon mushroom
    The stalk is brown with some white dots
    Wonder if it is possible to narrow down to the genus if there is not enough information on the species.

    Lovely colour.
    For ID, hard to say with this one: it would require knowing the nature of the cap undersurface. Possibly Aureoboletus mirabilis, but that is based on what I can extrapolate.

    I knew there were not enough features to make an ID. It is such a beautiful mushroom, and I wanted to try anyway. I will know what to do next time I see one.

    I agree it is very beautiful - excellent cap texture and colour
