i bought this lovely, delicate, little fern at Ikea, and it came with only very minimal information, which didn't include its name or care instructions.

so far it has survived for a few months, but i'd like to know what it is called and how to care for it.

attached are a picture showing the plant, and a closeup of the delicate foliage. i would appreciate any information about it.

    thank you.

Look like Asparagus setaceus, (syn. A. plumosus), Asparagus Fern.

Note that Asparagus is a flowering plant, NOT a fern!

Its not even a fern at all.

Its Asparagus plumosus. Its the correct name for the species not A. setaceus.

Note also it has tuberous roots and likes plenty of light and to go dry between watetings.

Not a member of the Lily family (Liliaceae) at all.

Its now in its own family Asparagaceae in the order Asparagales.
