I am trying to identify this small but beautiful grass I saw in Cyprus earlier this month. Please can anyone give me a clue?

    Lila,

You are a shiny, wee star!

Thank you for all your posts on my various threads!

I noticed this plant at the same time, unfortunately not yet in bloom. Could this be Lagurus ovatus in its bud form? Do you know?

Hm, interesting... unfortunately I don't know what could it be, but not Lagurus... :(
(I think they are fruits, not buds...)

Right.....I will keep searching. Its a pity I was not there for more time to study the flora for a little longer.
Another forum member Ron B has suggested Coix but I am not sure, as I say.......I will keep looking!
    Thanks again!

    Thanks Ron,
I will have a look at Coix and let you know!
