Wildflowers: Small Flowering Tree In Colombia

    This is a woody shrub or small tree about two meters high. It seems to have both alternate and oposite branches. At two thousand meters in Western Cordillera.

    Compare with Palicourea spp. It's not a well-studied group within the Rubiaceae, but it's present in both our cloud forests - the flowers remind me strongly of it, as do the leaves. I can't recall offhand if there's a blue-flowering member, though.
