small blue mystery flower from uganda

    Hello, can anyone help me to idetify this small blue plant? The photo was taken near Lake Victoria in Uganda. The flower is about the same size as borage. Thank you for your help! Francesca

    More likely Evolvulus glomeratus.

    E. alsinoides is cosmopolitan but a less ornamental plant. E. glomeratus from Brazil has become a popular garden plant over the last 2 decades or so.

    Sorry, I take that back! It looks as though it was growing wild in Uganda (not in a garden), in which case E. alsinoides is probably correct.
