Hi, I'm located in southern BC. Zone 5 to 6a, hot and dry in summer, can go to -20C in winter. Windy too. Low altitude. Very little snow (that's why I'm here!!) I have edged my new flower bed with large boulders, about 10" high. I'd like to soften the appearance with flowering edging that creeps slowly over the tops of the rocks and into the spaces between the rocks. I'm thinking that phlox may be a little too vigorous. If anyone has suggestions I'd appreciate it very much! Aug 21/05
