My blackhead cactus (Aeonium Atropurbureum 'Swartkop') loves me. When I bought it from an amateur dealer, it was a skinny, forlorn thing, and following a year's tender loving care, has shot upward, producing huge, long, black leaves, and a thick juicy stem. The problem is that the base of the stem has remained skinny, and with upper part of the plant getting so big and heavy, I'm concerned that it'll break. Any ideas on how I can support it?
Actually not a cactus. It looks a bit etiolated (grown in too dark a place), so brighter light would be the best way to thicken it up. Also flex the stem a little bit once or twice a day, which will stimulate stem thickening.
