I want to grow these! The article says that they are Aquilegia, or garden columbine. We grow a lot of columbines, and they have never looked like this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ied-garden-No-just-seed-pods-says-expert.html Our columbine seed pods look more like this: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...S5tgevr6DoAw&page=1&ndsp=6&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0 (sorry about the long link) Is there a special variety that will produce the skull seed pods? Thanks!
I do believe you're right, brotchie... how curious! I haven't been able to find a particular species or cultivar that produces the ones with the best semblance of skulls, though.
It does look like they're snapdragon seedpods. Does anyone know what variety would produce skull-like seedpods?
