My skimmia has enjoyed the shade of my 70' cedar tree for the last 12 years. I had the tree taken down in November and now the plant is in complete sunshine for about4 to 6 hours a day. This week I noticed big round golden brown spots on some of the leaves. Could it be from the direct sunshine?

its possible, usually they bleach (the leaves go whitish) badly in full sun.
