What is the longest single season shoot growth anyone has witnessed on a Japanese maple? 38 inches (and counting) on this Germaine's Gyration has to at least be a contender!

Wonderful to see some lovely new growth and not crispy leaves. Glad to see someone having a good year in the maple world.

I have a 47 inch branch from this year on my seed grown shirasawanum. I will try to get a picture. Not unusual for this tree that is super vigorous...
