Shurb/tree plant with small fruit or flowers? Id help

    I think this is an ornamental shrub because I can't find it in any of the field guides.

    Here is a picture of the the tiny flowers? or fruits that are on the branch.

    The leaves are toothy and have a whitish ash color to them. Some red dots on the leaves. I don't remember exactly what type of plant it came from but I didn't take it from a large tree. It looked like a shrub like plant but it could have been a small tree. The wood of the stem is smooth. Any suggestions would be great because I'm not sure were to even start. Thanks!

    Compare with Clethra alnifolia. I think it's likely to be that or a related species.
