Can anyone identify this shrub for me? I ran accross it at the parking area for a local nature reserve and it was very popular with hummingbirds.

Tecoma stans - the Ecuadorean common name is "Esperanza." One of my personal faves - they range from shrubs to quite stately small trees.

Solanaceae species I believe. Resembles Streptosolen.

Ooh, on closer look, Chris is right!

It's Nicotiana of some sort. I don't think it's N. glauca, though - the leaves are too small and the flowers the wrong colour. Compare - this is N. glauca in Ecuador.

I believe Chris nailed it. Streptosolen jamesonii or Marmalade Bush. Native to Colombia and Ecuador, and here I thought it was an exotic species.
