Hello again everyone. Wondered if anyone could identify these cuttings I discovered while walking my dog yesterday. It appears to be a fairly large shrub and the foliage is breath taking, dark purple to almost black. Very tiny serrated edge to the leaves. Leaves are about 4-5 inches long about three inches wide. Of course anyone that knows me realizes I am going to try to root these two cuttings and I am a stickler for making those tags hehe. Thanking you in advance. Hope everyone enjoys a bountiful harvest this fall. Nothing did that great Ontario Canada with damp conditions lots of blight and white powdery mildew
    Regards

Twigs and leaf outlines look like purple-leaf plum but dimensions given more on order of purple-leaf bird cherry or purple-leaf chokecherry.

Thanks Rob B. Appreciate your suggestions. My first thought was some type of plum
