Garden club members cannot id these two donations to our plant sale. Can you?

 

The first is likely Ribes aureum.

 

Second one--maybe Ligularia?

 

Thanks, Daniel. I'll have to go sniff the flower; I seem to recall reading that it's fragrant.

Eric, we're pretty sure the other plant is not a ligularia (that was one of our guesses too). Sorry the photo is sideways; doesn't help the viewer.

I agree with Ron. I pass by a patch of Eomecon chionantha quite often and that's what it looks like ( http://www.photosbotanical.com/cat1017.htm )
