Shrub in Ontario yard

    Can anyone identify this shrub? I thought it was a type of spirea but the blooms are fairly unspectacular and they have a rather unpleasant smell. Thank you for your help.

    Also, opposite leaves (another reason not a Spiraea). Looks like a Viburnum to me.

    Thank you. Is there anything I can do to make it a little more interesting? Something it is missing?

    Not here
    Viburnum lantana or similar. If you don't like it, you should just take it out.
