Shrub in Niagara Falls area garden

    This shrub is just under 2 m tall, with beautiful glossy foliage. Photo taken in late July. Owner believes it may be a Carolinian plant, but is uncertain.

    It looks like Winged Sumac, Rhus copallinum.

    Thank you. I'll let the owner know. She is right about it being Carolinian as it is found at Long Point, ON, at the edge of the Carolinian zone.
