I was going out the door to work yesterday when this stopped me dead in my tracks. I've had this plant for at least 8 years & had no idea that it actually had a flower! I'm not sure exactly what it is except that it is a succulent. Can anyone identify it for me? There's two different plants in the pot - the other is similar to a Xmas cactus so don't get confused by the foliage. Thanks!
Gorgeous. Looks like Epiphyllum oxypetalum. Night blooming Cereus. http://images.google.com/imgres?img...n-gb:IE-SearchBox&rlz=1I7SUNA_en-GB&sa=N&um=1
The other plant looks like Hoya carnosus compacta. Common name Hindu Rope. I think it also has a flower. http://images.google.com/images?nds...3&q=hoya++carnosa+compacta&btnG=Search+images
Good observation Michael F! But there are actually 2 different plants in the pot & the other one has the flat stems. The Cereus has ribbed cylindrical stems. Thanks for all the info!!
Ya it sure does look like your Hindu Rope plant there in the back has a bloom on it .. i can see it in the second pic ... can you take a pic of it and post it ??.. hard to get those ones to bloom .. Marion
