I have an indoor potted fig tree and it's dropping leaves like crazy. I was told to water it every two weeks, which I've done. The house usually sits at about 19 degrees and it doesn't feel too hot. Any reason why my fig tree is shedding? Should I be concerned?

You should really only water it IF it needs water, not on a schedule of any kind. The soil should feel semi moist at all times, a little bit dryer in the winter months and bright indirect light (some sun is ok too) The soil should not dry out or stay wet all the time. The tree should be a little bit snug in it's pot as well.
Newly purchased trees can start shedding leaves (between a month and three months or so) because of the change in it's environment, which by the way can last for several months. With the right care, new leaves will grow back. You may have to do some pruning in the spring.

That's roughly how I used to care for mine.

And at some point when it becomes established, leaves may fall off for a totally different reason, which is growth.

Eventually, when twigs and branches get big enough, they can become smooth and bare.

So shedding later on the inside should be expected.

But for now, it sounds like what you have is shedding from most of the plant.
