shade tolerant climber in Revelstoke

  1. Hello.
I am looking for a plant with the following characteristics:
    shade-tolerant (WNW aspect of house)
climber (up to two storeys high)
    evergreen
    good in the Revelstoke climate
    non-invasive (native?)
no feet on the climber (will build lattice work so that it does not damage the house siding)

    Thanks so much,
    Alice

    Shade tolerant climber

Lonicera henryi is my best suggestion. It is not known for its flower but has attractive leaves and berries, and will take the shade. There are not many evergreen choices for your zone area, however you could try to grow a clematis such as montana, and alpina up through your trellis. Good luck!
