I'm new of this forum and I joined since I need help.
I've got, from a park close to me, a sequoia cone that released its seeds one month ago. I planted three of them in the beginning of August but unsuccesfully (at least up to now).
I would like to know :
1- which kind of soil it is required at the beginning in practical terms
    2- when to plant seeds
    3- at what depth
    4- additional suggestions
Since seeds are not so many I wouldn't like going ahead by attempts.
    Many thanks in advance
    Adrid

Sequoiadendron gigantium seeds will have to be stratified for 8 to 10 weeks at 0-4 degrees C defore planting;sequoia sempervirens seeds can be planted directly. Plant quite shallow (3-4mm) in any well drained potting mix. Fall planting is good. Soak the seeds overnight before stratification or planting.
