f.w schumacher co.,inc sandwich mass 02563-1023. is the most reliable suppliers of sequoia seeds ive found .you can google them. i recieved my seeds promptly .there are some phoney suppliers out there so buyer beware. i recieved my seeds soaked them over nite froze them for only 2 days supplier recomends 20 ot 30 days. but most my seeds germinated any ways. i placed them in the little pressed pucks that swell when watered. leaving the seed 1/2 out of the soil.[time consuming but worth it. ] i used tweezers. the pucks were placed in a plastic atrium .and i would mist them every so often. do not fertilize as i learned the hard way . after sprouting they grow about an inch in 2 days, then stall and it takes weeks till you start to see other little needles start to appear and the trunks start to thicken and grow. at that stage i placed the pucks in larger 3inch pots using steer manure. i have them under a flourecent grow light for now.they are still very sensitive to direct sunlite . growing these trees is a very slow process but is worth it and feels so good to see them thrive. and its neat to know they can potentialy be around a 1000 yrs after im long dead. i live in the kootenays. this is my first post here. hope i didnt break any rules by listing a seed company.
