    Hello,

I have a new sensitive plant (mimosa) and my roommate and I were wondering what causes the leaves to fold up when touched and when it's dark. She thinks it might have something to do with stomata, but I'm really not sure.

    Thanks!

Attatched are pics of a textbook I have on plant physiology, writing it would've taken too long. Also look at this page.

natureman, Sorry, but is that textbook in the Public Domain? I think we are treading on copyright here. You may need to pull the images and replace with a cited quote.

Oh, I see Eric La Fountaine. Naa, it wouldn't be in public - personal textbook. I'll take the images down, as pothos has already seen them. No problem. :)
