    Hello,

I am trying to make a selection for my first ever grape vine (!) I have the following varieties available from a good nursary in Montreal which can grow in this zone. I should say that I don't have an enormous amount of space.

Can anyone give me a heads-up on which grape is the best eaten off the vine.. and why. It's hard to find this info, so in advance.

    Nicole

You can't go wrong with Concord. I have seeded Concord that is wonderful. Last year I also planted these seedless grapes. Marquis, Reliance, and Concord seedless.

    Hello Nicole

I'm new here and still looking for info myself but I can tell you the first local grapes I tried here on Vancouver Island were concord. I bought myself a vine 3 years ago and
haven't bought grapes from the store since. My vine gave me fruit last year and the experience of watching those little jewels grow from barely seen tidbits thru late summer and early fall and the final tasting was a religious experience. Concord HO!

    Cheers
