I have a Brugmansia that look exactly like that one in the picture and I think Ron will agree that the top will die every year once it starts to frost and when it gets below freezing. I have one here in the U.S. and every year it dies to the ground once it gets below freezing and comes back from the roots in the spring and grows to about 6 or 7 feet and repeats every year. Most Brugmansia can survive and come back from the roots especially if you cover the roots up with mulch in the winter and remove it in the spring. My lowest temperature in the winter averages about 5°F (-15°C). One thing you have to be careful about is that all parts of it are very poisonous if ingested. If you live somewhere where it does not freeze then it will keep growing into a large bush.

They are greenhouse plants in northern Britain.
